AMADOR BUFFALOES
Amador High School is a small school tucked in the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas. Since its inception in 1911, it has had a long history of academic and athletic success. Yet, it has never had a consistent brand identity or even unique logo. I set out to build a style guide full of graphic assets and instructions on how to most effectively use them. I built this for AHS students, faculty, and staff in order to unify, strengthen, and celebrate Amador athletics, clubs, programs, and general school spirit. All logos and work marks are hand drawn to evoke a sense of personality and character that pays homage to the long history of the school, while creating excitement for what the future holds as students return to in-person instruction in late 2020. The AHS identity is carefully crafted and built from this guiding principle encapsulating what it means to be a Buffalo: Relentless, but Respectful; Bold, but Reflective; Earnest, but Personable.
